Its been such a hot week, most of the plants are pretty weary and drooping by now, but this butterfly bush seems to be doing the best. sadly, we havent seen very many butterflies around it, but i'm sure there just waiting out the heat, like the rest of CT. :) ~Abbie

Been damp and cold here again- who would guess I'm living in So. CA?? Anyway, saw this spider web all covered in dew this morning and thought it looked really pretty. Didn't realize the spider was actually there until I looked at the picture later... eww!! Oh well, still cute! ~Angel
Its been so hot here this week. all i want to do is go find a cold place. thankfully we have the air conditioners in so our lower level is mostly cool. but bare feet and shorts have become the style around the house. :) ~Abbie

i feel like Angels fireworks picture is a million times better than mine, but oh well. :) i love the 4th, and i had a great time going to see fireworks in springfield with some of the sibs and a couple friends. we got smoothies, and enjoyed some live music from a restaurant that was close by. it was a great July 4th. :) ~Abbie
so i love bonfire smoke, but nothing says summer to me like the smell of a charcoal grill. the weather this past weekend has been totally blaring hot, i can hardly stand it, but we've still managed to have fun. ~Abbie

i brought in some flowers from the backyard, these hydrangeas are huge! easily as big as my face, if not larger. ~Abbie
Up at the in-laws for the holiday weekend. Went out for dinner, and they had a horse drawn "Cinderella" carriage outside the restaurant! So cute! -Angel
so, i drew this picture, and its supposed to be of malachi. he doesnt agree with me, and says that it looks nothing like him. so i put it on the table, and it says who am i? at the bottom. the general family response was that it did look like him. it only took me a few minutes to sketch, so i didnt put a ton of work into it, but i thought it was kinda funny. ~Abbie
June has a tendency to be cold and gloomy, but the last few days have finally been sunny!! Maybe it helps that we're moving into the summer months. :) Anyway, it was so clear and blue and pretty out, and all the trees looked so nice against the bright sky, I had to take a quick pic! ~Angel
