This is Malachi's big mean Ford Dakota. Angel requested that i take a picture, so here it is. i got to drive this the other day, which was awesome. i felt very tough. ;) ~Abbie

Day 59
i've been so busy working that i havent really had time to take pictures of anything really exciting. so here are some flowers. :) ~Abbie
My staircase has these cool little windows that look out over our neighborhood, and I thought it made for a neat photo opp. This is my favorite view, since you can only see the trees, and the distant houses, and not any of the freeways! ~Angel

just a portion of grammas turtles. we went swimming at her pool, cause it was so hot. Shelley and the kids were there, and that was fun. ~Abbie
The jumble of things I'm using for my latest knitting project. I know there's been a few knitting project and yarn photos on here recently, but I have been working a lot on several different projects, so that's been a highlight of my week. :) ~Angel

Day 57
k, so i know i just posted a picture of him the other day, but Leo has claimed a very special place in my heart, and i couldnt resist taking this picture of him. sorry its a little blurry, but putting on the flash kind of took away from the cuteness of him laying in the sun. today has been a long day of parties, one that i was at for work, serving burgers, dogs and pasta to a bunch of people i didnt know. the other was a graduation party for a good friend from church. but after my night with the girls last night, and all the business of today, i'm with leo, totally ready to curl up and go to sleep. ~Abbie

Day 56
this picture pretty much sums up my friday evening at my d-group sleepover...my dear friend Ashley decided to walk on the wild side and paint her fingernails blue. yeah, shocking, i know! ;) ;) it was a great night full of root beer floats, nail polish, talking, chick flicks, and believe it or not, sleeping. we're all headed in different direction starting this week and we're not sure when all seven of us will be able to get together again before college leaving time. it was a great bonding/one last night of fun to kick off our summer of touch and go hanging out. ~Abbie
The pretty new yarn I bought. I said I wouldn't buy yarn until I'd finished the projects I had going, but that resolve didn't last very long... :) At least I know what pattern I'm going to use, and I am almost done with one of my other projects! ~Angel

Day 47
This was a beautiful cathedral in Sligo, which was my 2nd favorite city of the 4 that we visited. we spent an evening wandering the city, looking in shops and getting lost. we stopped at a fruit stand and i bought an apple that was delicious. for some reason all the food out there tasted extra good. the fruit was a little fresher, the bread a little more wholesome. maybe it was the thrill of being in such an exciting place and i was imagining it, or maybe we over process the food here in america... i dont know, but i thought there was some kind of difference. i loved looking at everything in the city, it was a really lovely evening. ~Abbie

Day 46
This is Kylemore Abbey, which is, as you can tell, stunning. sadly, it wasnt part of the plan to go in there, so we would have had to pay and extra entrance fee, and it would mean we would have to give up other things on the trip so we chose not to tour it. but we ate lunch at a lovely cafe nearby, and got this great view of it for pictures. it as a sad story of an irish man who built it as a home for his wife and daughter, but when they both died he could no longer bear to live there, he was reminded of them so much. so he moved away and gave it to the church who made it into an all girls school. i dont think the school is still going on there, but i thought that it was terribly sad what happened. ~Abbie

Day 45
These are the cliffs of Dun Angus on the island Inis Mor, which is the largest of the three Aran Islands. it has a population of 800 people who live mainly off of fishing and tourists. it was where they filmed the movie Leap Year, which was great if you havent seen it. we got to see where they actually filmed it, but it didnt look much the same since i guess they brought in a bunch of set stuff.... :( but this was definitely my favorite place that we visited the entire trip, it was so breathtaking. ~Abbie

Day 44
This is one of my top favorite Ireland pictures. i think its so cute, i just love how cliche it is. there werent many homes like this one, since i guess they're very hard to keep up electricity and heat wise... ~Abbie
Went and played mini-golf today with the family, which was loads of fun. We golfed through castles, windmills, towns, and rivers. Here's a quick shot of the golf course, complete with California palm trees. :) ~Angel

Cold, rainy day today... perfect for making chocolate chip cookies! :) ~Angel
thanks a lot Angel for putting up a plant. now mine just looks boring. i've been so busy packing all day, and catching up on sleep, which i've had a lack of lately, that i barely remembered to take a picture. but here are the beautiful hydrangeas that are just beginning to turn blue.
Just a reminder, i'll be in Ireland from tomorrow till the 20th, so sorry if i'm not able to get any pictures up. ~Abbie

Day 40
Yes, I know it's another plant on the blog. But this poor little plant was looking very sad and droopy this morning, and is looking so much better tonight. After giving it a little more dirt and stability, and lots of water, it perked right up, and now looks so much better. It helps to liven up my little kitchen. :) ~Angel
So the fam went strawberry picking this morning... i was at work, but apparently the strawberries were small, because they all look like this. teensy, adorable, and very tasty, they made great strawberry shortcake. ~Abbie

Day 39
Grams and I went to Johnny Rockets for lunch, and we had this nice waiter who looked slightly like David Archulleta.. he made us this cute pac man smiley face in the ketchup.. :) ~Abbie
Finally had a chance to finish unpacking from my visit to CT, and got to set out my new little angel that I was given while on my trip. She looks so cute on my dresser. :) ~Angel

the lovely Mom and Mrs Kinsky.... they had me take their picture... i think they liked a different one, but i thought the one with the sunlight streaming in the background was pretty... ~Abbie
So, little Miss Eva got a haircut today. She looks so cute, but so funny at the same time!! :) It'll keep her cool this summer though. ~Angel

My pretty little bowl of apples sitting on the table. Probably should eat them, but they make such a nice centerpiece I haven't yet. :) ~Angel
Okay, so sorry for not posting in days... my life is so busy right now, from graduation parties, to graduation ceremonies, to concerts, impromptu sleepovers, work, friends and sleeping, i am getting a little overwhelmed. this week isnt looking any less busy, i have shopping, work, choir practice, lots of laundry and packing, all leading up to leaving for Ireland on friday. I will be gone from friday till sunday the 20th, so i'm not sure how faithfully i'll be able to keep up with the blog. but i PROMISE that what i cant put up while i'm there i'll put up when i get back.
my picture for today is pretty cool, i have to say. our church recently put in a new entry way, elevator and staircase, so today we had a "celebration sunday" with cake, balloons, lots of cheering and clapping, and a commemorating/prayer over the new work done. this is one of the deacons just before he cut the ribbon. ~Abbie
