spent a lovely afternoon with Grams shopping and eating out at Five Guys. i got the three cute dresses and i thought the fabrics were so cute. i cant wait to wear the middle one to church tomorrow. :) ~Abbie

Just liked how bright and sunny the leaves on this little bush were! They had all turned such a pretty pink/red, and were all lit up by the afternoon sun. :) ~Angel

The moon tonight was so clear and bright!! Unfortunately, my camera doesn't take very great night time photos, so this was the best shot (out of about 20!) that I could get. Like the way the leaves in front stand out a little bit. Hopefully next time I'll get a clear picture. :) ~Angel

The colorful, yummy (and super healthy) salad I made tonight! I had a ton of veggies, but no lettuce, so I did a recipe search where you can plug in the ingredient you want or don't want, and it pulled up this quick recipe. Lots of veggies, some olives, feta cheese, and a little olive oil and red wine vinegar. Yum! ~Angel
its raining, its pouring. rain has been coming down since about ten thirty this morning, and hasnt really let up. you would think that would cause the weather to be cooler, but the forcast for tomorrow is in the high 90's. joy. i worked today, and i work tomorrow, and i'm totally sick of work, buti cant really complain because i asked for the hours. and i def need the money. only 31 days till FL, and i dont wanna leave CT with no cash. :) having some girlfriends over for a movie tonight, and possibly going shopping with Grace tomorrow evening. ~Abbie
today i worked (surprise, surprise) and finished a terrible novel that i started at the beach. the main character died in the end. i was very disappointed. these pretty purple flowers are finally in bloom, and always attract lots of bees. it can kinda of be annoying, but they're so pretty its hard to be mad at them. ;) ~Abbie
So, the cute little sweater I picked up today!! Loved the little flower detail. :) Old Navy has had some of the cutest cardigans this year... makes me happy! ~Angel
we went to the beach today. my first time to the shore this summer, and i did not get burned. i'm so proud of myself. i have a very faint tan line, but its something, so i'm proud of it. its actually only the 2nd full day i've spent in the sun this summer, i spend so much time cooped up at work that i'm starting to look like an albino. haha. hopefully i'll be able to make up for it by getting a nice bronze in FL. only 33 days to go! ~Abbie

i've been working so much lately i dont really have time to find something that is compelling and interesting to take a picture of. in my free time i've been spending as much time in the sun as possible, reading, and napping. ~Abbie
Since I finished one knitting project... I can now start a new one! Excited to be using some of the yarn I bought at Webs when I was home this spring. :) ~Angel

Malachi and I went to see Despicable Me together. i have not laughed so hard watching a movie in a long time. its probably my new favorite movie, and will be for a while. best line- "he's so fluffy!" haha. ~Abbie

I've needed to do some practicing lately, since I've been really horribly bad about keeping up my piano skills, so I dusted off my poor, forgotten keyboard and pulled out my songbooks. It's been nice to play again... maybe I should do it more often! :) ~Angel
everything here is so green despite the oppressive heat of the last couple of weeks. hopefully we'll get some cooler weather our way, but so far we're keeping cool with ac, swimming, and drinking lots of ice water. ~Abbie

i made these awesome chocolate chip/m&m cookies, except that then i went to work the next day, and the kids ate them all, and i only got like, two. sadness. but the two i had were wonderfully goey and delicious. :) ~Abbie
Had to pick up a few things at the grocery store today and, as usual, was admiring all the flowers when I saw a little display marked "Manager's Special". It had several bouquets of pink roses, looking a little faded and droopy, but still pretty- and marked down to $0.99! With a little bit of trimming, and pulling off a few faded petals and broken leaves, and I have a dozen roses brightening up my dining room table! ~Angel

Had to go downtown today for Jury Duty. Thankfully I got dismissed from duty mid-afternoon, and had a few minutes to sit outside a little coffee place and enjoy the beautiful day. Like the blend of city and nature you find in our downtown area. :) ~Angel
i just finished this picture. i must say, its one of my new favorites. :) i've been spending a lot of time drawing this weekend, trying to get myself back in shape for college (only 42 days to go!) hopefully i'll have more drawings that i like enough to post here soon. random side note, if you've never heard of pandora.com, look it up. its free internet radio where you can create your own stations and listen to only the music you like. i'm totally in love with it, its my find of the week. :) i've created and awesome station full of my favorite artists: jack johnson, norah jones, dave matthews, ingrid michaelson and others. ~Abbie

Cold rainy weather always makes me want to bake, and since today was yet another cold rainy day, I decided to make a Texas sheet cake. I made a huge mess in the process, but my house smells delicious, and I can't wait to taste it! ~Angel
I took a day off work, and went with the fam up to Lake McDounnagh in Barkhamstead for the afternoon. thank goodness the sun wasnt out too much, cause it was my first real day in the sun. i slathered on heaps of sunscreen and managed to avoid a burn, for today. but the air was warm, and there was a nice summery breeze, and it was altogether a perfect day to spend at the lake. i always love to read a good book at the beach, so i brought a few, in case i got bored. but i was totally sucked into "The Shack" by William P. Young... its very sad, but a good read so far, and totally engrossing. i'll let you know if i like it or not when i actually finish. ~Abbie
Its been such a hot week, most of the plants are pretty weary and drooping by now, but this butterfly bush seems to be doing the best. sadly, we havent seen very many butterflies around it, but i'm sure there just waiting out the heat, like the rest of CT. :) ~Abbie
